Ordinary students are not involved in nationwide arson, violence and vandalism centered around the quota movement. The anti-discrimination student movement does not support this. Anti-discrimination student movement has nothing to do with those who have caused irreparable damage to state resources and lives for political gain using the banner of anti-discrimination student movement.

On Thursday (July 25), 91 students of various educational institutions of the country made this demand in a statement. At the same time, they also demanded to bring back the education environment in the country.

In the statement, they said, from July 3, ordinary students participated in the movement across the country to demand quota reform and our rights. Many of our students have become martyrs in the movement for this right. May all their souls rest in peace. I wish those injured a speedy recovery. In the face of our logical movement demands, our partial victory was achieved by issuing the notification on 23 July.

At this time, the students made some more logical demands. These are-

► Main Movement of Students Quota Reform Completed. I think the expectations of the agitators have been fulfilled.

▶ Many innocent students were affected, killed and injured during this agitation. I demand that those who have used force on ordinary students, subject to investigation and brought to justice. We demand the government to provide proper treatment to the injured and provide adequate compensation to the families of the deceased students.

► The press release published by the Dhaka University administration on July 23 to bring back a fair and peaceful environment in the campus with the aim of providing security to the students and speedy commencement of educational activities, should be implemented quickly.

► Educational institutions should be opened immediately to bring back the learning environment across the country.

► We demand that the ordinary students who have done non-violent agitation should not be harassed and the cases filed against them should be withdrawn.
