Tehran: The Iranian government, which has been executing anti-hijab protesters in Iran, has sentenced three more people to death. An Iranian court handed down the sentence yesterday despite growing international condemnation. The Iranian government has blamed anti-hijab protesters for waging war against God.

The Iranian government has hanged two people, Mohammad Karami and Syed Muqat, who participated in the anti-hijab protest on the 8th. An Iranian court said the two were hanged for killing a security guard in Iran. Human rights organizations strongly condemned Iran.

But before the tension subsided, Iran executed 3 more people. The anti-hijab protests in Iran intensified in September last year following the death of a young woman named Masha Amini. More than 300 people lost their lives in this protest that lasted for more than three months. 15,000 people were arrested.

Iran announced the death penalty for many of the protestors. Some were hanged. However, the official number of these is not yet known. Also, 400 of the protesters have been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
