The protest organization claims that 75 people were killed in the anti-hijab protest in Iran in 10 days. The anti-hijab protest is now taking place by chanting slogans against Ayatollah Khamenei, who has been in dictatorial rule for nearly three decades. Violent protests are continuing in various parts of the country.

There are clashes with the security forces wherever there are protests. More than 1,200 people were arrested in the protests that began on September 17. According to the official count, the total number of deaths is only 13. In the wake of the protests, the functionality of Instagram, LinkedIn and WhatsApp apps has been restricted.

Thousands took to the streets to protest the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman who was beaten to death by Iran’s morality police for allegedly seeing hair outside her hijab. Women are protesting by cutting their hair and burning their hijab. Protests are also taking place in different parts of the world like London and France.

Mahsa Amini, a former Iranian football player, who was in a coma stage due to severe head injuries, died last week. Matters came to public protests after Iran’s media carried the news with great importance, describing Mahsa’s death as tragic. Protests escalated into protests as Iranian women defied the government by burning their hijabs and cutting their hair.
