Kollam: The revival protection committee formed by the state government during the Sabarimala youth fire entry controversy is languishing. Aikaya Malayaraya Mahasabha left the Samiti regarding rituals at Sabarimala. The relationship with the Malayaraya Mahasabha Samiti was severed after it was accused of taking an anti-renewal stance on issues including the appointment of the Sabarimala Melashanti. P. K. Sajeev, Secretary of Navotthana Samiti and General Secretary of Malaya Raya Mahasabha, said that the government’s negative stand cannot be accepted.

The dropout of the organizations came when the conclusion of the Constitution Protection Conferences inaugurated by the Chief Minister on August 15 was scheduled to be held on January 26 in Chembazaranti. Later, when the committee was organized, Vellappally Natesan became the president. As Punnala withdrew, P. Ramabhadra was made the General Secretary. Christian and Muslim organizations were also part of the revival committee at this time.
