330 investigations have been opened in France by the courts for anti-Semitic acts and advocacy of terrorism since October 7, the Chancellery said on Monday. This Friday, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin indicated on BFMTV that 1,247 anti-Semitic incidents had been recorded since October 7 (date of the Hamas attacks against Israel) in France, and 539 people arrested, including 154 foreigners. Among them, 33 are in administrative detention centers, he said.

The perpetrators of anti-Semitic acts are “often very young”, “often minors”, he declared in the Senate on Wednesday during the government questions session. Around twenty convictions have been handed down to date, according to a source close to the case.

This Sunday, more than 182,000 people marched in France, including 105,000 in Paris, during marches against anti-Semitism, according to the authorities.
