Anti-vaccine movement in Western Europe

by time news

The anti-Kovid vaccination movement is intensifying in Western European countries. Anti-vaccine activists rallied yesterday in countries including France, Italy, Germany and Austria. Protests have intensified over the move to ban those who have not been vaccinated in public places, with an increase in Kovid cases.

More than one lakh people took to the streets of France, chanting slogans that the government was encroaching on the people’s right not to be vaccinated. Protesters marched with placards reading “Truth, Freedom, No Vaccine Pass”.

Protesters also spoke out against President Emmanuel Macron’s statement that the lives of those who do not get vaccinated will be further complicated and they will be forced to get vaccinated. Twenty-four people were arrested and removed following the protest. Several people were reportedly injured in the clashes with police.

About half a million people took part in a protest rally in the Austrian capital, Vienna. The government has decided to make vaccination compulsory from next month. Hundreds of people attended rallies in various parts of Germany. The rally in Hamburg was attended by 16,000 people.
