Toronto: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said he will use the emergency law to end truck driver-led protests against Kovid restrictions and compulsory vaccination in Canada. The decision comes as protests spread uncontrollably to various Canadian cities.

Accordingly, banks have the power to freeze protesters’ accounts without the need for a court order. Trudeau said police would be given more freedom to protect infrastructure, detain or fine protesters. Trudeau said the legislation would be temporary.

Protests erupted in the capital, Ottawa, as more than 4,000 people took part in a protest yesterday over the recent blockade of border roads by truck drivers across the U.S. – Canadian border.
