Antigoni Kouloukakou Reflects on Her Journey to Motherhood: A Personal and Private Struggle

by time news

“My mother didn’t know, she didn’t know that every time her daughter was trying,” said Antigone Kouloukakou.

Antigone Kouloukakou was hosted on “Studio 4” with Nancy Zabetoglou and Thanasis Anagnostopoulos, where she spoke about her attempts to become a mother.

“I hadn’t expressed the desire, but I was trying. I wanted it and we tried very hard. I felt it would happen when they told me. It might also be the desire. What can I say about the effort? That I’m trying to get pregnant? No one knew. Only me and the one who was interested in it.

Maybe, if my mom knew, it would have put an extra anxiety and stress on me, and that every time I would disappoint an extra person, while it was something completely mine that might not have happened. Others put pressure on you that you absolutely have to succeed. Perhaps, subconsciously, that was also the reason I didn’t say it,” Antigone Kouloukakou mentioned.

“The first people I notified were my mom and my brother. My mom didn’t know, she didn’t know that every time her daughter was trying. She was very happy. She has four grandchildren from my brother and she is not the pushy mom who asks when you will give me a grandchild. She knew that I am also a free spirit and that other things pleased me. She is not the traditional mom,” added Antigone Kouloukakou.
