The first Test between the West Indies and Bangladesh began on the 16th at the Antigua Ground where the toss-winning West Indies opted to bowl.

Bangladesh were all out for 103 in their first innings. Following on, the West Indies were all out for 265 in the first innings. Following this, Bangladesh lost by 245 runs in the 2nd innings. For the West Indies, Keemer Roach took 5 wickets, Aljari Joseph 3 wickets and Kyle Myers 2 wickets.

The West Indies then set a target of 84 for victory. The team lost 3 wickets for 9 runs. At the end of the third day, the West Indies were 49 for 3.

John Campbell – Blackwood pair led the team to victory on the fourth day today without taking any more wickets. West Indies lost only 3 wickets and scored 88 runs and won by 7 wickets. This gave the West Indies a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
