Antisemitic tweets: the region suspends its subsidy to the Ateliers Médicis for their support of Medhi Meklat

It is undoubtedly the most anticipated cultural facility in the years to come in Seine-Saint-Denis. Installed since 2018 in a temporary building in Clichy-sous-Bois, Les Ateliers Médicis should open by 2025-26 in Montfermeil, on the edge of Clichy. Like the Center national de la danse in Pantin, the MC 93 in Bobigny or the Théâtre de la Commune in Aubervilliers, this “large scale and national ambition” facility aims to reaffirm “the place of artistic creation in the suburbs” by “developing a reference laboratory dedicated to young creation, artistic and cultural emergences”, as described on its website.
