(Web Desk) Indian police have recovered crores of rupees worth of Indian notes with the picture of Bollywood actor Anupam Kher instead of Mahatma Gandhi.

According to Indian media, Ahmedabad police recovered Indian currency notes worth 16 million, after which the videos of the currency notes went viral on social media.

In the videos that have surfaced, the image of Anupam Kher can be seen on the Rs 500 currency notes instead of Mahatma Gandhi, while the notes also read “Resolution Bank of India” instead of “Reserve Bank of India”.

The video of the fake currency notes that went viral on social media was also shared by Anupam Kher on Instagram, in which the actor wrote, “Lo Kar Lo Baat, my picture instead of Gandhiji’s picture on Rs 500 note?” “Anything can happen.”

According to Indian media reports, Rs 1.6 crore notes, silver and gold coin manufacturing firm’s owner Mehul Thakur was recovered following the fraud, after which a case has been registered against unknown persons in Ahmedabad.

Mehul Thakur told the police that some people wanted to buy 2100 grams of gold from him. The gold buyers said that the purchased gold should be delivered to Norangpura area, after which the owner of the firm conveyed the gold through his employee. Sent to the place, but the accused employees were given fake notes of 1 crore 3 million Indian rupees in exchange for gold. The accused told the employees of the owner of the firm to bring the remaining 30 lakh rupees from a nearby shop, but they did not return.
