Former minister Anwar Raja has been removed from the AIADMK.
AIADMK senior leader and former minister Anwar Raja has been removed from the post of AIADMK member and a basic member. Anwar Raja, who is currently the AIADMK chief, has been fired for his dissenting views on OBS and EPS. AIADMK co-ordinators Panneer Selvam and Edappadi Palanisamy said in a statement that Anwar Raja was fired for acting contrary to the party’s policy and principles.
Anwar Raja has been expelled from the AIADMK before the AIADMK executive committee convenes tomorrow. Anwar Raja, who spoke out against the party at the district secretaries’ meeting that ended, has now been sacked following allegations that former minister CV Shanmugam, including Arunmozhivarman, insisted that he should not attend the meeting on the basis that he had expressed his views. This has caused a stir in political circles.
