Anyang City submits 2nd supplementary budget plan with 68.4 billion won increase

Anyang City submitted a second supplementary budget proposal with an increase of 68.4 billion won. Anyang City announced on the 21st that it had prepared the ‘2024 Second Supplementary Budget (hereinafter referred to as the Supplementary Budget)’ worth 1.9882 trillion won and submitted it to the Anyang City Council on the 20th.

This is an increase of KRW 68.4 billion (3.5%) from the first supplementary budget (KRW 1.9198 trillion).

By account, the general account was organized at KRW 1.6189 trillion, an increase of KRW 44.2 billion (2.8%) from the previous amount, and the special account was organized at KRW 369.3 billion, an increase of KRW 24.2 billion (7.0%).

By sector, the safety and transportation sector has allocated a budget for ▲installing smart school zones for children’s protection (KRW 400 million) and ▲strengthening protection measures for areas vulnerable to heat waves (KRW 57 million).

The culture and tourism sector has been allocated ▲support for the operation of a citizen professional soccer team (KRW 1 billion), ▲construction of a youth baseball field and futsal field (KRW 500 million), and ▲construction of a Pyeongchon library (KRW 500 million).

The social welfare and health sectors include ▲establishment of a specialized dementia care center (KRW 1 billion), ▲green remodeling of public buildings (KRW 850 million), ▲payment of child allowance (KRW 740 million), ▲basic livelihood security livelihood allowance (KRW 500 million), and ▲support for pre-pregnancy health management (KRW 120 million).

In the industry and economy sector, ▲improvement of the agricultural and marine product wholesale market environment (KRW 500 million) and ▲revitalization project for alleyway businesses in Gyeonggi-do (KRW 140 million) were organized, and in the land and regional development sector, ▲establishment of a strategy for undergrounding and developing the upper part of the Gyeongbu Line (KRW 850 million) and ▲feasibility study and basic plan establishment service for the construction of Anyang public sports complex (KRW 500 million) were organized.

Anyang Mayor Choi Ma-ho said, “This supplementary budget plan focuses on securing growth momentum for our city through efficient financial management even in difficult financial conditions, expanding cultural and sports infrastructure, and supporting the socially disadvantaged. As it only includes the necessary budget, I ask for the city council’s active cooperation.”

Meanwhile, the second supplementary budget plan is scheduled to be deliberated at the 296th Anyang City Council extraordinary session to be held from August 29 to September 11.
