Aostano dies in a motorcycle accident in Val di Susa

Paolo Castiglion, 61, was a Cri volunteer and civil protection instructor

Paolo Castiglion from Aosta lost his life in a road accident that took place this afternoon in Val di Susa. Castiglion was on a motorbike trip when he swerved and went off the road for reasons under investigation. He died instantly and the 118 operators who intervened on the spot together with the Carabinieri could do nothing.

Castiglion was 61 years old. He was known for his commitment as a volunteer of the Aosta Valley Red Cross and as a Civil Protection instructor.

“Very active during the entire pandemic emergency, he is remembered by his colleagues as a person who is always kind and helpful,” says the Valle d’Aosta CRI Committee in a note of condolence to his wife, children and relatives.
