Apart from this, various goods were lost and damaged from various offices, divisions and branches of the Parliament building. In this situation, three committees have been formed to strengthen security and take necessary measures.

Information about these damages came up in the general situation briefing-related meeting of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan. The meeting was held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on September 4 under the chairmanship of Acting Secretary (Additional Secretary, Committee Support Wing) Zebunnesa Karim.

This was informed in a press release on Sunday (September 15).

In the meeting, the heads of various departments of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan presented the overall situation of their respective departments. They emphasize on getting some repair work done on an urgent basis. It was informed in the meeting, official and personal approximately 90 lakh rupees were lost. It has been decided to take appropriate measures to return this cash. It has been decided to list the lost and damaged goods of various offices, sub-divisions and branches of the Parliament building and submit it to the respective head of department.

It is mentioned in the notification that in that meeting, it is necessary to strengthen the overall security of Sangsad Bhavan, Sangsad Bhavan (Manik Mia and Nakhalpara), old MP hostel, minister hostel, secretary hostel and Sangsad Bhavan residential area and inspect the broken, lost and damaged goods in these areas. Three committees were formed to take action. The committees were directed to inspect the damaged and piled goods on site and submit them to the affidavit.

In the meeting, it was decided to take necessary measures to repair damaged computers, printers, scanners, internet connections, telephone exchanges, lines and sets in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhawan on an urgent basis. Various department heads and related officials were present in this meeting.
