An unexpected gift at the ceremony was the presentation of keys to two-room apartments for a teacher with 40 years of experience, Dzhamila Akhmadieva, and a young physical education teacher, a pupil of the orphanage, Vladimir Borodastov. A local businessman helped purchase the apartments.
Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said that a special commission was created that carefully analyzed the entire waiting list. The main principle of selection was the restoration of justice.
Jamilya Akhmadieva works in the Bakhyt kindergarten. But with her retirement, she was legally removed from the housing queue, which she had been on for almost 20 years.
“My son and I have always lived in rented apartments. Now I already have four grandchildren. I retired due to age, but I continue to work. I still can’t believe this is happening to me. Emotions are overwhelming. Thanks to everyone who made my dream come true – to have my own home,” says teacher Jamilya Akhmadieva.
Vladimir Borodastov joined the housing queue almost 10 years ago, immediately after leaving the orphanage.
“I’m very happy! My wife is also a teacher. We are raising a son, another child is on the way. We were hoping for a rental apartment. And then suddenly such a gift,” he shared.
Ermaganbet Bulekpayev also presented five teachers with badges “Karagandy oblysynyn bilim take salasynyn kurmettipedagogi.” The regional insignia was established several years ago to increase the prestige of teaching work. It comes with a cash reward in the amount of 1.5 million tenge.
“Today, following a long-standing wonderful tradition, we congratulate you, dear teachers, on your professional holiday. Every year, about 600 young teachers enter the education system, including graduates who study at the expense of the regional budget. This year, 20 grants were allocated from the regional budget for teaching specialties, more than 50 people graduated from universities and joined the staff of educational institutions. I wish all teachers health, energy, inspiration, grateful students and new successes in your noble mission!” – said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
One of the holders of the badge is a mathematics teacher at the Saken school in the village of Uspenka, Shet district, Gulbarshin Koshkarbayeva. She devoted more than 40 years to the profession, her students are winners of district, regional, and republican Olympiads.
“I played chess from the age of five and always loved mathematics. I studied at the school named after Saken, and I teach here. An example was my aunt, a teacher with a big heart and knowledge. I love children, so I chose the path of a teacher. And all these years I am happy when my students greet me with a smile. I want to say to young teachers: since you have chosen this profession, love it with all your heart. Many thanks to the veterans who gave us a start in life. Happy holiday to all colleagues, health and well-being,” says Gulbarshin Koshkarbaeva.
Other awards were given to teachers: badges “Y. Altynsarin”, “Veteran of labor” and “Honored employee of education”.
In total, there are 420 schools in the region. Almost 25 thousand teachers make an invaluable contribution to the education of the younger generation.
Today, education workers are congratulated throughout the region. Teachers are presented with departmental awards, certificates of honor and letters of gratitude.
