Apologizing and getting applause, Prithviraj’s film is a publicity stunt – Anjana George

by time news

Prithviraj starrer Tiger is a controversial film on the day of its release. There was a lot of criticism against the film because of the dialogue that abused differently-abled children. After the criticism intensified, the actors including Prithviraj came forward to apologize.

But movie critic and journalist Anjana George says that she felt the incidents related to the tiger were a publicity stunt. Anjana said that lead actors are becoming bigger by apologizing after making wrong statements and Tiger is the simplest example of that. Anjana’s remarks were made at Alappuzha Film Festival.

“Apolitical statements have often been problematic. Salman Khan has also apologized once. We have seen some of these body shaming statements first made by our so cold heroes and then they apologize and get applause. It is in the tiger.

I believe the tiger’s is a huge publicity stunt. Those are simple examples. We discuss on social media about the placement of Jackie. But Jackie is still there,’ said Anjana.
