MBN Channel S ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’
In the 6th episode of the real street mukmentary ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’ (jointly produced by MBN and Channel S), which aired on the 15th, ‘Mukbro’ Jeon Hyun-moo, who declared a ‘sea table’ in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) and ’Water.’ ‘Goddess’ guest Kwon Eun-bi’s ‘Muk Trip’ was held.
On this day, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tub met at the Suncheon Bay wetlands and filled their emotions by looking at the beautiful scenery. Immediately after, the two went to a restaurant with singer Park Gu-yoon’s name on it, recommended by Suncheon citizens. Jeon Hyun-moo, who had completed the casting effortlessly, asked about his relationship with Park Gu-yoon, and the president replied, “We first met in 2003. He surprised people by saying, “He often came to my house to eat kimchi stew and I adopted him as my adopted son.”
In addition, when the owner was surprised again when Jeon Hyun-moo saw the ‘2021 Suncheon Gourmet Battle Gosu Restaurant Grand Prize’ award plaque, he explained, “I won the award with cockles,” and without thinking twice, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube said, “Rolled cockle set meal for two!” ” was ordered. Park Gu-yoon’s favorite menu item, ‘kimchi stew’, was also served here.
After devouring the food deliciously, the two asked the owner, “What should we eat when we come to Suncheon?” The owner informed us, “There is a lot of seafood in the lower part of Suncheon, and there are also many famous restaurants.” Accordingly, Jeon Hyun-moo called the guest of the Suncheon episode and ordered, “Since you are a flour fan, go downstairs first and enter the entire house.” Kwak Tube, who heard the guest’s voice, showed interest by saying, “Isn’t she an actress who recently appeared in a drama?” and the guest hinted, “I’m a goddess.”
After some time, the two arrived at the lower store and reunited with Kwon Eun-bi, who had already started mukbang in the previous house. Kwak Tube was surprised to see that the guest was Eunbi Kwon, and Eunbi Kwon made everyone laugh by confidently saying, “I am the goddess of water!” Afterwards, the three ate the pancakes that Eunbi Kwon had ordered in advance.
Eun-bi, “What is your favorite food?” Eunbi Kwon said, “I like raw fish. “I often eat raw fish as a late-night snack when I want to be less fat or bloated,” he said. Kwak Tube appealed that he was on a diet, saying, “Surprisingly, I am too,” and Kwon Eun-bi responded, “I have become really gaunt, I have lost some weight.” However, Kwak Tube made everyone laugh by self-destructing, saying, “That’s because of a different reason.”
Previously, Kwak Tube was embroiled in controversy in September for comments that seemed to support Lee Na-eun in content about a trip to Italy with April Lee Na-eun, who was previously suspected of having harassed a ‘school violence perpetrator’ and group member. Afterwards, he apologized twice, saying, “This incident made me feel and reflect a lot on my shortcomings. From now on, I will take greater responsibility and be cautious in everything I do to avoid saying or doing anything that could hurt someone.”
Meanwhile, ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’ airs every Friday at 9:40 pm.

How do personal stories in culinary shows influence audience engagement and connection to the culture?
Interview: Exploring the Flavorful Journey on ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’
Editor (Time.news): Welcome to our special feature on South Korean culinary shows! Today, we’re excited to have food and entertainment expert, Dr. Kim Soo-yeon, with us to talk about the latest episode of ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’ that aired on November 15. This episode has sparked great interest among viewers. Dr. Kim, thank you for joining us.
Dr. Kim Soo-yeon: Thank you for having me! I’m thrilled to discuss the show and its cultural significance.
Editor: Let’s dive right in. In the recent episode, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube mixed food with travel, visiting Suncheon Bay. How significant is this combination of mukbang and travel in today’s entertainment landscape?
Dr. Kim: It’s incredibly significant! The format of integrating mukbang, which is essentially eating broadcasts, with travel allows viewers to engage their senses. They not only see new places but also experience the local cuisine vicariously. It taps into our collective craving for connection and enjoyment, particularly in a post-pandemic world where many people still seek virtual escapes.
Editor: That makes perfect sense. The episode featured local delicacies such as a ‘rolled cockle set meal’ and kimchi stew. Why do you think Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube chose these specific dishes?
Dr. Kim: Both dishes are emblematic of Korean comfort food. The rolled cockles offer a taste of the coast, connecting viewers to Suncheon’s rich seafood culture, while kimchi stew is a staple that evokes warmth and family gatherings. Highlighting these dishes enhances the authenticity of their experience and showcases regional culinary highlights that viewers might want to explore themselves.
Editor: Speaking of connections, the personal story shared by the restaurant owner about his long relationship with singer Park Gu-yoon added a warm touch. How do personal stories enhance culinary shows like this?
Dr. Kim: Personal narratives build emotional engagement. When a viewer hears anecdotes about the creator’s connections or memories tied to food, it fosters a sense of community and nostalgia. In this instance, it humanizes the chefs and the cooks involved, making the experience relatable. That’s vital for a program that thrives on both entertainment and dietary exploration.
Editor: Absolutely! The episode also sparked conversation around Kwak Tube’s recent controversies. How do you see this affecting viewer perception of him as a personality on the show?
Dr. Kim: Controversies can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, they can generate negative attention, but on the other, how the individual handles the situation can endear them to audiences. Kwak Tube’s public apologies and commitment to learning from his mistakes show maturity, which can resonate positively with viewers. In this particular format, vulnerability and growth are well-received, especially when coupled with humor, which he demonstrated in the show.
Editor: It’s all part of the larger narrative arc, isn’t it? Lastly, with ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’ airing every Friday, what impact do you foresee it having on local tourism and cuisine?
Dr. Kim: I believe this show can significantly boost interest in local tourism and gastronomy. By shining a spotlight on places like Suncheon, it encourages both domestic and international viewers to explore these regions. Additionally, as people see the delicious meals and vibrant culture presented, it can inspire them to seek out these culinary experiences, benefiting local economies and fostering cultural exchange.
Editor: Dr. Kim, thank you for your insights today. It’s fascinating to see how food and entertainment collide in shows like ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’.
Dr. Kim: Thank you for having me! I look forward to further discussions as the series continues.
Editor: We can’t wait to see what the next episodes bring. Stay tuned, everyone!
