jpnn.comJAKARTA – PDI Perjuangan DPP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri once reminded President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) that Indonesian leaders must continue to implement what has become the brainchild of the nation’s founders.
This was conveyed by Megawati in her mobilization speech at the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony of the PDI-P DPP management for the 2019-2024 term of office which was extended until 2025 at the party school, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Friday (5/7).
“I said to Mr. Jokowi, you leaders must implement what was thought and written by the nation’s founders, not make versions,” said Megawati in her mobilization speech before the ranks of the PDIP central management.
The fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia admitted that he felt it was important to remind people about this matter. Because, currently, leaders in Indonesia tend to create their own government models.
“If now I see the leader making a version, ‘oh it’s strange, yo, it’s really hard to live with what’s already there,'” he said.
Therefore, during the 2024 Presidential Election, he left this message to Ganjar Pranowo regarding this matter.
“Watch out, you know, if you become a leader, many people will say that it wasn’t your mother who made you, well, whatever, but I told her why I made you? You joined the PDI Perjuangan, whatever, if you want to be independent and join another party, well, it wasn’t me who made you,” he said.
Megawati also touched again on the values contained in Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. According to her, these values are the legacy of the nation’s founders that can still be carried out by future leaders.
Megawati Soekarnoputri even gave the same message to Ganjar Pranowo before running in the 2024 presidential election.
