A student of Kaniyamur private school in Kallakurichi district died mysteriously on July 13 in the school premises. The school premises were then ransacked.
Vehicles were set on fire. In this situation, the Chinnasalem police arrested 5 persons namely school principal Ravikumar, secretary Shanti, school headmaster Sivasankaran, chemistry teacher Haripriya and maths teacher Keerthika on the complaint filed by the deceased student.
The lower court rejected the bail petition filed by all 5 of them. After that, they filed a petition in the Chennai High Court seeking bail. The Chennai High Court heard this petition and ordered on the 26th to grant conditional bail to the 5 people including the school principal.
Accordingly, it stipulated that the principal, secretary and principal of the school should stay in Madurai and the two teachers should stay in Salem.
It has been stipulated that 2 teachers should sign at Salem Sewwaipet police station and 3 persons including the school principal should sign at Tallakulam police station in Madurai district. In this case, it was reported that Smt.’s parents are going to appeal in the Supreme Court in the case of the student’s death.
In this case, Law Minister Raghupathi has said that an appeal will be filed against the bail of the Kaniamoor school administrators. When he gave an interview in Pudukottai, he said,
