Apple 1 computer prototype auctioned for nearly 700K USD

The prototype of the Apple-1 computer, which became the foundation of the company Apple, is now being auctioned. Boston-based auctioneer RR announced that the prototype was bought by an anonymous person from the US for USD 677,196 (Rs 5.41 crore in Indian currency).

Bobby Livingston, executive vice president of RR Auctions, said, “Without this board, there would be no Apple-1. It’s one of the Steve Jobs and Apple memorabilia.”

At the end of July, the highest bidder in the online auction was $278,005. However, it is noteworthy that this prototype is currently being sold for around 7 lakh US dollars while experts have said that it may be auctioned for a higher amount.
