Apple is testing the integration of a camera in one of the next generations of Apple Watch

by time news

The attempt to integrate cameras into smart watches has not really succeeded so far, and the number of times that companies have tried to do this can be counted on one hand. But it turns out that even the company that leads this particular market, Apple (Apple) with generations of Apple Watch, is considering this option.

In fact, it turns out that Apple already submitted an application to the US Patent and Trademark Office some time ago for a patent for a smart phone with an integrated camera, and according to the office’s website, it even received approval for the patent on the 7th of this month.

Beyond the camera that will be integrated into the watch itself, as can be understood from some of the drawings submitted along with the patent application, Apple also offers a strap with a special structure and a slightly different processing that should support this ability to use the watch as a camera.

In fact, the mechanism of the new strap will make it possible to easily and quickly disconnect the watch itself from the strap, use the screen to set up the photo, and then at the end of the photo to return it to its place just as easily. According to what is explained, it will probably be possible to use the watch for photography with a normal strap as well, by removing it completely from the arm, but of course it will be less convenient.

Of course, for the time being it is only a patent, so it is very possible that in the end it will not come to fruition. But he shows that there are also thoughts.
