Apple is finally adding the ability to see the Wi-Fi password stored in iOS 16, as MacRumors notes that the iOS 16 developer preview includes an option to view the Wi-Fi password and even copy it to share with friends or family, you need to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID Or a passcode to see the stored password and then you get an option to copy it.

And if you own an iPhone, you know how hard it is to share Wi-Fi passwords when a family member or friend visits and is an Android fan or owns a Windows laptop.

And even though your phone is connected to the network, you still have to look up your Wi-Fi password on the back of your router or on an old piece of paper where you shouldn’t store passwords anyway. Gone are the days of this familiar struggle once iOS 16 arrives.

Sharing a Wi-Fi password has always been automatic and easy on iOS as long as the person trying to connect to your network also has an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This change is available to everyone else once iOS 16 is released.

Apple is currently testing iOS 16 with developers, and a public beta release arrives sometime in July. iOS 16 also includes significant improvements to the Lock screen and Messages, along with a powerful Live Text feature, shared iCloud photo libraries, and more.
