For the Apple Intelligence neural network to work, the iPhone must have at least 4 gigabytes of free memory. The publication iDrop News drew attention to this, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.

According to media journalists, Apple recently named specific system requirements for artificial intelligence (AI) tools to work on the iPhone. It turned out that when launched, the AI functions will take up at least 4 gigabytes of free space on the smartphone’s storage.

Also, each device with Apple Intelligence will require a minimum of 8 gigabytes of RAM. The AI features will work on iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, as well as all iPhone 16 series phones.

According to iDrop News journalists, 4 gigabytes is the required minimum. “The Apple Intelligence neural network has not yet been released, and its functions and capabilities will undoubtedly develop and grow over time,” the authors emphasized. They also stated that users of smartphones with 128 gigabytes of memory and a lot of media content will have to free up some disk space.

However, it is unknown how much disk space will be required to run AI on Mac computers. In beta versions of macOS, Apple Intelligence took up more than 5 gigabytes of memory. The launch of Apple’s AI in the US will take place before the end of the year, in other countries – later.
