Apple: new event in October, Mac and iPad the protagonists

by time news

Apple held a major event a few weeks ago where it unveiled the new iPhones and the new Apple Watches, but the autumn of announcements isn’t over yet for Apple. According to some rumors, in fact, the Cupertino company is about to announce a new online showcase for October which will focus on new iPad models, new Mac computers, and the iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura operating systems. As for tablets, it is reasonable to expect the launch of two new models. First of all a new basic iPad, the tenth generation, with a more squared design and the farewell to the Lightning port in favor of a USB-C, like the rest of the lineup. It also seems that, while not changing the unlocking method that will once again be entrusted to the Touch ID with front button, the display will reach 10.9 inches in size and the resolution will be Retina like that of iPad Air. The new iPad should have the A14 Bionic chip inside. Another iPad that will be present at the event will be the Pro, again in two sizes (11 and 12.9 inches), but this time with M2 chip. A line of M2-chip computers, previously only featured in the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro launched this year, is also expected to be unveiled at the October event. The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will debut with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, but there should also be a new Mac mini with the second generation of in-house chips.
