by time news

The iOS 16 version was released this week to all users, but according to reports it seems that the iPhone 14 models will receive their own additional update due to some bugs that were discovered just before the launch.

The update in version iOS 16.0.1 will be required for the owners of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro devices immediately upon their initial activation, because one of the problems found is in the activation and data transfer during the setup of the devices. Beyond that, the update addresses a problem related to the display of images in the camera and authentication when connecting to organizational tools.

When turning on the phone for the first time and after setting up the WiFi connectivity, the iOS system can detect and ask users to install the system update and users can install iOS 16.0.1 to avoid major problems before continuing the new phone setup process. Those who do not succeed will be able to update manually by connecting the phone to the computer via iTunes.

Meanwhile, last Wednesday Apple released the first beta of iOS 16.1. The update, which is currently only available to developers, offers several features that were absent from iOS 16. Among other things, a green energy charging mode (Clean Energy Charging) to reduce the carbon footprint, the replacement of Apple Pay with another payment service, the beginning of compatibility with the new Matter smart home protocol, and more.
