For Apple customers, Gravis is an alternative to the apple company. The electronics chain is now closing its branches.

An era is ending for Apple fans. If they previously wanted to avoid shopping in the parent company’s large Apple stores, the electronics chain Gravis was the only alternative. But that’s exactly what will soon be eliminated: “Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, we are in the red,” the company said in a statement.

Since 2022, we have been struggling with “a negative result,” said Gravis. The reason for this is the decline in demand and the increase in online sales. In 2023, attempts were made to prevent bankruptcy by merging stores and a new branch concept, but these efforts were not successful.

Furthermore, the “restrictive conditions model on the part of Apple” is said to be partially to blame for the fact that Gravis sees no possibility of “making the business satisfactory in the future”. The company has not yet announced exactly when the Gravis branches will close and online trading will cease. Gravis says it will employ around 600 people.
