Apple: The most expensive iPhone of all time can do that | Life & Knowledge

by time news

Apple has set a new price record for the iPhone – for the first time a smartphone from the Californian manufacturer costs exactly 1829 euros.

What does the most expensive iPhone of all time have to offer?

► It is the largest and heaviest iPhone to date. While the height (160.8 mm) and width (78.1 mm) have remained unchanged compared to the previous iPhone 12 Pro Max, the depth (7.65 mm) and weight (238 grams) have increased somewhat.

► It has the largest memory that has ever been built into an iPhone. A nominal capacity of 1 terabyte is available for data, apps, games, photos, videos and music. A premiere not only for the iPhone, but also for smartphones in general – no other manufacturer offers so much internal memory.

► It has the largest display in an iPhone with a screen size of 6.7 inches (approx. 17 cm). For the first time, Apple brought out these display dimensions in the fall of last year with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It can be found in the iPhone 13 Pro Max – not only in the most expensive 1 terabyte version, of course, but also in the models with less memory (128, 256, 512 GB). New: The display now has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hertz.

► According to Apple, it has the fastest processor in a smartphone, the A15 Bionic Chip. In all iPhone 13 Pro models, thanks to five graphics cores, it is even slightly more powerful than the A15 processor in the iPhone 13, where only four graphics cores are used.

► The iPhone 13 Pro Max should be able to play videos for up to 28 hours on a single charge. That would be up to eight hours more than the iPhone 12 Pro Max can manage. With normal use, the battery should last 2.5 hours longer than the previous iPhone 12 Pro Max.

► All cameras in the iPhone 13 models have been further optimized, according to Apple, and should be even better suited to taking photos in dim light.

► All iPhone 13 are capable of filming video in the so-called cinema mode, which automatically creates a depth of field when recording. Another video function, however, is reserved for the iPhone 13 Pro models with at least 256 gigabytes of storage space, so it can also be found on the most expensive iPhone: Videos can be recorded in a resolution of up to 4K in ProRes format (for professional video editing).

However, one thing is not included with the most expensive iPhone: a charger. As with the previous model, Apple does without the accessories, only includes a USB-C to Lightning cable. If you don’t have a charger, you can buy one from Apple for 25 euros.

With a cell phone price of 1829 euros, that hardly matters anymore …
