A recent report revealed that Apple is working to convert its iPad into a smart screen and speaker, which can act as the Facebook Portal or Amazon Echo Show to control smart home devices.

And according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman, the tech giant could introduce these smart capabilities into its iPads as soon as next year.

And the iPad docking station can allow users to make FaceTime calls and hands-free control of smart home devices.

It will be similar to the Amazon Firetablet that allows users to put devices in a dock to become a smart display.

Apple is set to unveil the iPad Pro soon, which will likely come in 11-inch and 12.9-inch models and an M2 Silicon chip.

Apple is also working on an updated version of the HomePod, and according to the report, the next generation HomePod could have an updated screen, an S8 chip, and multi-touch functionality.

The company also plans to assemble an Apple TV and smart speaker device with a camera, and Apple recently signed a Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology (SMT) agreement, which could lead to the tech giant using hybrid OLED displays in the iPad Pro by 2024.

The screen of the iPad and iPad Pro is a major component of the user experience.
