Apple has announced the release of iOS 17 and plans for security updates for the OS versions, starting with the upcoming iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and watchOS 11.
In addition to iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and watchOS 11, new Web technologies are also being introduced.
The upcoming OS features also include various enhancements related to security systems. The updates are expected to be released on September 6 and will integrate with the Web standards.
The new AI mode, named “Apple Intelligence,” will feature enhanced machine learning capabilities across devices.
Developers are excited about new features, especially to improve integration with various services.
- iOS 18: Supported devices include iPhone 11 series, iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, and SE (2nd generation).
- iPadOS 18: Compatible with iPad Pro models (M4, 12.9 inches, M2, and Air models), iPad (7th generation), and iPad mini (5th generation).
- macOS Sequoia: Available for MacBook Air (2020 model), MacBook Pro (2018 model), iMac (2019 model), Mac mini (2018 model), iMac Pro (2017 model), Mac Studio (2022 model), and Mac Pro (2019 model).
- watchOS 11: Supported on Apple Watch Series 6, SE (2nd generation), Ultra, and Ultra 2.
