An Apple employee has filed a lawsuit against the company, accusing it of spying software that they require to install on their devices. This was reported by Reuters, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.

According to Amara Bhakta from Apple’s advertising technology department, the company requires employees to install software on their personal devices that gives it access to employees’ email, photo archives, health information and other personal data.

“If you use your personal account on an iPhone, iPad, or an Apple-managed or Apple-owned computer, any data stored on the device (including emails, photos, videos, notes, and more) is subject to verification by Apple,” the lawsuit says.

In addition, the plaintiff claims that Apple prohibits employees from discussing working conditions, interacting with the media and disclosing information about violations within Apple. Bhakt, who has been with the company since 2020, said he was banned from talking about his work on podcasts and forced to remove information about working conditions from his LinkedIn profile.

Apple responded to the allegations by saying the claims were unfounded and that employees receive annual training on how to discuss working conditions.
