Apple Watch Deals: Prime Day Early Sales on series 10, SE, and Ultra 2

Amazon Prime Day officially kicks off on July 8th, but savvy shoppers can already access a range of deals, particularly on Apple’s popular smartwatch lineup. From the latest Apple Watch Series 10 to the more affordable Apple Watch SE,and the rugged Apple Watch Ultra 2,there’s an option for every wrist and budget. But with a growing number of models available, determining the best choice can be challenging.

Generally, experts recommend purchasing the newest Apple watch you can afford to ensure continued software support. The recent watchOS 11 update, released in September, is compatible with the Series 6 and newer, leaving older models like the Series 4 and 5 behind. While Apple intends to maintain support for current devices with the next watchOS iteration this fall, upgrading offers access to the latest features and design improvements.

The Latest: Apple Watch Series 10 Deals

The Apple Watch series 10 represents Apple’s current flagship wearable.Boasting the new S10 SiP chip, faster charging capabilities, and a brighter, larger wide-angle OLED display, it offers a significant visual and performance upgrade. Weighing half as much as the Ultra and 30% thinner with new 42mm and 46mm sizing options, the Series 10 also includes a depth and water temperature sensor, alongside an FDA-cleared sleep apnea detection feature – also available on the last-generation Series 9 and Ultra 2.

While not a radical departure from the Series 9, the Series 10 is currently available at Amazon and Walmart. The 42mm GPS model starts at $299, matching its all-time low price. The 46mm variant is on sale for $359 – the third-best price recorded for that configuration – while LTE models begin at around $476.

Refreshed in late 2022,the Apple Watch SE delivers a compelling experience with the same chipset as the Series 8,albeit with fewer sensors,no always-on display, and a slightly older design. Starting at $249 for the 40mm Wi-Fi/GPS model – $30 less than the previous generation’s baseline – it remains an attractive option for those seeking core smartwatch functionality. Cellular connectivity increases the starting price to $299 for the 40mm size, with the 44mm size adding an additional $20.

Currently, Amazon offers the best deal on the latest SE, with the 40mm GPS model available for $169 (an $80 discount). The 44mm GPS configuration is also discounted to $199.99 (also $80 off).LTE models are on sale at amazon and Walmart starting at $239, a mere $40 above the best price seen on the entry-level LTE configuration.
