There is still less than 48 hours until Apple’s special “Far out” event, where the company is expected to showcase the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, AirPods Pro 2, and the all-new Apple Watch Pro to people who engage in extreme sports. Currently, Bloomberg Journalist Mark Gorman revealed that Apple has developed exclusive straps and faces for the new Apple Watch Pro.

It’s unclear what exactly these watch straps will look like, but Apple could take a similar approach to what the company is already doing with watch straps created in partnership with Nike. Apple also sells Apple Watch bands designed for Hermès models. It’s worth noting that Gorman previously said that while older watch straps will work with the Apple Watch Pro, they won’t fit perfectly.
Moreover, the reporter also believes that there will be new watch faces designed exclusively for the Pro model that will display dense fitness information to users. If true, this wouldn’t be the first time Apple has designed new watch faces for a specific Apple Watch model.
For example, only cellular versions of the Apple Watch have a watch face called “Explorer,” not to mention Nike and Hermès watch faces.
Apple Watch Pro design
Earlier today, a CAD leak revealed the possible design of the Apple Watch Pro. Unlike current Apple Watch models, the new one has a larger 47mm chassis and a flat screen with no curved edges. However, the case of the Apple Watch Pro is not flat, contrary to previous rumors. The render also revealed a third new side button.
According to Gorman, this new button is “programmable” so that the user can select different actions on it, such as opening a specific app, starting a workout, or any other action within the app. The Digital Crown is also quite different from current Apple Watch models, but it’s unclear if this will enable the new software features.
The Apple Watch Pro must be built from titanium. This, along with the flat screen, should make the device more crash-resistant.
Apple Watch Series 8 و SE 2
In addition to the Apple Watch Pro, Apple is also working on two new Apple Watch models. The Apple Watch Series 8, which is expected to replace the Apple Watch Series 7, will retain the same design and size as the previous generation with similar internals.
