Apple will allow the transfer of information from iCloud to inheritance

by time news

The American corporation Apple introduced the Digital Legacy program, which allows people to bequeath information in the iCloud cloud storage to their heirs. This will help avoid situations where relatives of the deceased face problems when trying to access his account.

Previously, in order to get data from a deceased person’s iCloud, his relatives had to go to court, confirm their inheritance rights, and only after that Apple allowed access to the data. Now the user can specify five people who will be able to access the account in the event of his death. This will require proof of death of the owner and an access key. The new feature is already available in the beta version of iOS 15.2.
