Apple is about to make a more significant separation between the various models in the next flagship series of iPhones, according to estimates by well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, according to which the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models will receive an update For a new chipset and improvements to memory components, while the two entry-level iPhone 14 andiPhone 14 Max Preserve the processor version with which the iPhone 13 models were introduced last year.
The analyst, who has a rich record, publishes his evaluations of Apple products through his Twitter account, where he states that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models will continue to use the Apple A15 Bionic chipset, which was integrated in all iPhone 13 series devices last year, as well as the iPhone model SE 2022 Recently Viewed.
Only two Pro models would upgrade to the A16 processor, while the 14 & 14 Max will remain the A15. All four new models will likely come with 6GB RAM, with the difference being LPDDR 5 (14 Pro & 14 Pro Max) vs. LPDDR 4X (14 & 14 Max). https://t.co/tHcszIz6gX

As for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, the analyst notes that these will be updated to the Apple A16 chipset and will continue to offer 6 GB of working memory (RAM), but will use LPDDR5 memory.
The other two models in the series will be satisfied with LPDDR4 memory, but will be upgraded to 6 GB, compared to the 4 GB available in the current iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini models.
Where has the iPhone 14 Mini gone?
Since Apple introduced the iPhone 12 Mini, there have been reports of the model failing alongside rumors that Apple will leave it behind down the road.
These rumors were refuted when Apple introduced the iPhone 13 Mini, but they have not completely disappeared, and Mingchi Chi Ko’s new assessment indicates a change of direction that may completely erase the mini model from the equation in 2022.
The analyst does not specifically address the mini model, but in his estimates he presents 4 devices, a mini model is not among them, when instead he indicates a change of direction on the part of Apple, which will lead the company to present a basic version with a significantly larger screen.
For the iPhone 14 models to be unveiled during the second half of 2022, Line claims that these are the models that Apple will introduce:
- iPhone 14 – The new entry-level model with a 6.1-inch screen and an A15 processor similar to the iPhone 13
- iPhone 14 Max – A completely new model that will come with a 6.7-inch screen and hardware similar to that of the iPhone 14 entry model
- iPhone 14 Pro – Continue to iPhone 13 Pro with upgraded hardware (A16 processor, LPDDR5 memory) and 6.1-inch screen
- iPhone 14 Pro Max – Continue to iPhone 13 Pro Max with upgraded hardware (A16 processor, LPDDR5 memory) and 6.7-inch screen
