A well-known hacker under the nickname IntelBroker announced an attack on the Apple corporation and the theft of the company’s confidential data.

As reported by Day.Az with reference to Lenta.ru, this was reported by the publication 9to5Mac.

The corresponding post appeared on one of the forums on the darknet. According to IntelBroker, in June he attacked Apple and stole the source code of some corporate tools. It is reported that the stolen internal data is unlikely to harm users of the company’s gadgets and services.

A number of tools that the hacker gained access to allowed the company’s employees to work with certain corporate applications. In addition, some of them were used to work with information and to serve customers. IntelBroker posted an archive of the stolen data for auction on the darknet.

According to 9to5Mac journalists, the organizers of the platform where the hacker is going to sell the stolen information are currently checking the value of the stolen data. The source told the media authors that buyers on the darknet trust IntelBroker, as it has a solid reputation and never puts up for sale “dummy” data.

IntelBroker has been linked to hacking attacks on AMD, Zscaler, General Electric, AT&T, Home Depot, Barclays Bank, and a number of U.S. and European government agencies. 9to5Mac reached out to Apple for comment but did not receive a prompt response.
