Collector Muralitharan has said that qualified sportsmen and women can apply for the post of athletic trainer at Theni Sports India District Centre.
In a press release issued by him in this regard, Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, Theni District SDAT-Khelo India District Center, Theni (SDAT-Khelo India District Centre, Theni) national level medal winning sportsperson/athlete can apply as part time coach. SDAT-Khelo India district center for entry-level athletics training is set up at Theni District Sports Stadium under the Khelo India program funded by the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority. 30-100 sportsmen/women are enrolled in this center and they are given daily training.
A nationally accomplished athlete/athlete under 40 years of age will be selected to train as a coach in this centre. Applicant should be a resident of Theni district for at least 5 years. Should have been a medalist in international competitions or national level competitions or medalist in All India Inter University competitions, participated in international competitions and senior national competitions. The selected trainee will be paid a monthly training fee of Rs.18,000 for 11 months. This is not a permanent job. It is purely temporary. It is not possible to claim employment benefits or permanent employment on this basis. Application for this can be submitted through the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority website (www.sdat.tn.gov.in) from 21.12.2022 to 3.01.2023 at 5 PM, applications received through other channels will not be entertained for any reason.
Interview for qualified candidates will be held at Theni District Sports Stadium on the basis of physical fitness, sportsmanship, medals won and coaching ability. Exam date and details will be announced later. A committee headed by the District Collector will select the eligible applications from the applications received. Therefore, Collector Muralitharan said that eligible people in the district should apply and benefit.
