The National Center for Standardization and Standardization, under the auspices of the Ministry of Planning of the Government of National Unity, organized a celebration on the occasion of the issuance of a number of Libyan standard specifications and the adoption of international specifications as national specifications.
The Ministry of Planning of the Government of National Unity adopted “33 Libyan standards, prepared by the National Center for Standardization and Standardization,” affiliated with the Ministry.
According to the center, “the approved standard specifications varied in the areas of the food and feed industries sector, the engineering industries sector, and the chemical and petrochemical sector, in addition to the adoption of 30 international standards in the field of renewable energies.”
During the celebration, he reviewed “a technical report that includes the activities of the National Center for Standardization, including granting licenses to use the Libyan Quality Mark for Libyan products and the conformity mark for bottled drinking water.”
According to the center, the report showed, “a qualitative shift in this field, and 18 companies for 102 Libyan products obtained licenses, which confirms the quality of Libyan products and the efficiency of the manufacturing process.”
The celebration was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Planning, in the presence of the Minister of Planning, the Chairman of the Center’s Supreme Committee, the Minister of Industry and Minerals, a member of the Center’s Supreme Committee, and the Minister of Housing and Construction. The celebration was also attended by a number of undersecretaries in the Government of National Unity, in addition to a number of general directors and directors of departments and offices in the entities affiliated with the Ministry of Planning.
