Approval to issue commemorative stamps commemorating 75 years of Pakistan-Sri Lanka diplomatic relations

(Owais Kayani) The Federal Cabinet has approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries regarding the issue of commemorative postal stamps on the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

According to the details, the Federal Cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in which several decisions were taken. The Federal Cabinet approved the appointment of Muhammad Yaqoob, Assistant Director Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan as Federal Inspector Drug Balochistan on the recommendation of the Ministry of National Health. The Federal Cabinet has approved the amendment to the Cabinet Resolution dated 30 October 2013 regarding the appointment of Planning Commission members from the open market. The Federal Public Service Commission has also approved to conduct departmental promotion examinations for the posts, the Federal Cabinet has confirmed the decisions taken in the meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee on 29th August 2024-
The report of the cabinet committee established by the Ministry of Industry and Production regarding the export of sugar was presented to the federal cabinet. Due to this, not only the country gained valuable foreign exchange but also the sugar prices remained under control and the sugarcane farmers also got the reward for their hard work. 50% of wheat, sugar, fertilizer has been approved to issue instructions for inland access through Gwadar port. These instructions were issued that 50 percent of the public sector imports should be brought into the country through Gwadar port, the cabinet directed that the rate of exports from Gwadar port should also be increased in future. The Federal Cabinet approved the reorganization of the Board of Directors of Korangi Fish Harbor Authority, Karachi on the recommendation of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. The Cabinet directed that all provinces should be represented in such government boards. The cabinet further directed that the boards of state-owned corporations which are not complete should be completed as soon as possible. On the recommendation of the Ministry of National Health, the federal cabinet appointed Muhammad Yaqub, Assistant Director Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, as Federal Inspector Drug Balochistan. Approved.
On the recommendation of the Ministry of Planning, the Federal Cabinet approved the amendment to the Cabinet Resolution dated 30 October 2013 regarding the appointment of Planning Commission members from the open market. will be fixed in Pay Scale-II (SPPS-II), additionally the pay of the Chief Economist of the Planning Commission, who will be appointed from the open market, will be paid in Special Professional Pay Scale-I (SPPS-I ) was also approved for appointment.
