Actor Prakashraj donated an ambulance to a hospital serving the poor in memory of late Kannada actor Puneethrajkumar.
Puneeth Rajkumar is an important actor in Kannada film industry. He is the youngest son of renowned actor Rajkumar, who died of a heart attack in October last year. His death shook the Indian film industry.
His last Kannada film ‘James’ was released in theatres. Fans tearfully watched his final film. Puneeth Rajkumar, who is not only an actor but also a singer and producer, was fondly called as ‘Appu’.
In this case, actor Prakash Raj has donated a free ambulance to the Mysore Mission Hospital in his memory. Puneeth Rajkumar’s epithet ‘Appu’ has been attached to this ambulance and it has been named ‘Appu Express’.”My dream is to have such an ambulance service in all the districts of Karnataka state,” he said.
