As part of the celebration of Pfizer’s 70 years of presence in Colombia, the launch of “AprenGo” has been announced, a platform designed to close gaps in healthcare.

This initiative represents a step towards improving medical care, prevention, diagnosis and quality of life for patients.

One of the challenges in Colombia is the distribution of health care in a country where 23.7% of the population resides in rural areas, equivalent to approximately 12.2 million people. These communities are often located far from urban centers, making it difficult for them to access health care.

“This platform is a pioneer in Latin America and was conceived as a scalable, sustainable and replicable solution that will soon be launched in more countries in the region,” reported Hery Zárate, Innovation and Transformation leader at Pfizer in Colombia.

“AprenGo” will be operated in collaboration with DocRed, a technology company that has developed a digital ecosystem for doctors. This platform will integrate various experts in health, technology and pedagogy.

“AprenGo” lies in its goal of supporting primary care physicians through a digital tool that promises to transform the way they learn and strengthen their skills.

This platform is based on the improvement of medical care and the professional development of doctors.

“Our purpose with AprenGo is to reach more than 650 thousand Latin American doctors over the next two years, offering the opportunity to interact with scientific content specialized in different public health pathologies, regardless of their location, to contribute to greater access to services. timely doctors for patients,” explained Ana Dolores Román, General Manager of Pfizer for Colombia and Venezuela.

“AprenGo” seeks the continuous training of health professionals and the provision of excellent care to patients.

“An accurate and timely diagnosis can change the patient’s life. In Latin America, a large part of patients’ journey to reach a diagnosis occurs in the primary care doctor’s office, who, in many cases, and, above all, in difficult-to-access areas of each country, is the only health care professional. the health of those they can visit, for this reason the announcement of the launch of AprenGo becomes vitally important,” said Román.

This platform promises to be a tool for primary care physicians and healthcare professionals in their quest to improve patients’ quality of life and provide timely medical care.
