Budget Approval Passes in Jordan
The House of Representatives in Jordan recently approved a budget of over 179 billion dinars for the upcoming year, with an additional 88 billion dinars allocated as an increase from the previous budget. The budget was presented by the Hamad government and received unanimous approval from the representatives.
During a meeting with Prime Minister-designate Osama Hammad, Speaker Aguila Saleh discussed the implementation mechanism for providing services to citizens, emphasizing the need for increased government focus on sectors like healthcare. Scientific reports on cancer prevalence were also presented.
The budget approval comes after the Supreme Council of State rejected the previous budget proposal, citing violations of the political agreement. This disagreement led to strong reactions from both Aguila and other representatives.
