Rajinikanth appears in a cameo role in the film ‘Lal Salaam’.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya is turning director again. Aishwarya Rajinikanth is directing the film ‘Lal Salaam’. The announcement of Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s film was going viral online, music director AR Rahman, who shared a video with Aishwarya Rajinikanth, has informed that the work on ‘Lal Salaam’ is in progress.
Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant play the lead roles in the film, which also features Rajinikanth in a guest appearance. Aishwarya Rajinikanth has earlier directed Dhanush starrer ‘3’ and ‘Vei Raja Vei’. He also directed the documentary ‘Cinema Veeran’. Aishwarya Rajinikanth has also written a book ‘Standing on an Apple Box: The Story of a Girl Among the Stars’. The new film directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth is produced by Lyca Productions.
‘Annate’, directed by Siruthai Siva, was the latest film with Rajinikanth in the lead role. Rajinikanth is currently acting in ‘Jailor’ directed by Nelson. Ramya Krishnan will also play a strong character in the film and Rajini will play the role of a jailer.
Jailer is an action drama film shot at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film. Cinematography is handled by Vijay Karthik Kannan. Earlier there were reports that Rajinikanth had given permission to Nelson to take his own liberties with the script.
