Arab company likely to own Liverpool too; Reports are out

Arab companies continue to invest in Europe’s biggest clubs. There are reports that Arab companies and billionaires who have already invested in many clubs like PSG, Manchester City, New Castle United will continue to invest in this type of investment.

Previously, there were reports that Saudi Arabia had asked its private individuals and companies to increase the amount of investment in these sectors in order to find more income from tourism, sports etc. in addition to the income from oil.

There have been reports that Qatar is interested in acquiring Liverpool among the clubs Liverpool and Manchester United who are currently looking for new owners in the Premier League. Journalist Alex Miller has reported that the Qatari government has decided to take over Liverpool at a cost of around $445 billion.

Reports coming out say that this amount will be spent from the wealth fund of the Qatari government.
Liverpool’s current owners are Fenway Sports Group, an American company led by John Henry.

Under Fenway, Liverpool has won titles including Champions League and Premier League.

There were reports that the Fenway Group is interested in selling Liverpool as a whole and if the club cannot be sold as a whole, the Fenway Group is interested in selling only a small stake and remaining the owners of the club.

CE of Qatar Investment Authority Oya Mansoor Bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud has held talks with Liverpool to seek investment opportunities, according to Catch Offside.

“We have not yet come to a firm decision regarding the purchase of the club. But I feel that if this acquisition is possible, it will be a decision that will bring a great economic awakening to the country.

Meanwhile, according to Forbes magazine, Liverpool is the fourth most valuable club in the world with a value of 4.45 billion. Other clubs worth more than Liverpool are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United.
