The Morocco pavilion was inaugurated by the Moroccan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Tazi, and the Director General of the ONMT, Adel El Fakir, informed the Office in a press release, specifying that ATM 2024, flagship exhibition dedicated to travel and tourism events in the Middle East, sees the participation of more than 2,300 exhibitors and representatives from more than 165 countries.
And added that the objective for Morocco is to consolidate its market shares and strengthen the visibility of the Morocco destination and its positioning in the Gulf countries and the Middle East which are among the high-value markets added.
The challenge is to develop the Dubai axis which represents a market with strong potential for Morocco and also to highlight Morocco as an attractive destination which offers a diversified product, globally recognized hotel brands, quality of service, high-value niches such as golf, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions / Events), shopping, culture among other segments, indicates the ONMT.
The destination of Casablanca was highlighted on the ONMT stand, being the main destination for the market due to its strategic positioning as an air hub and entry point to Morocco. Casablanca professionals are present in force to represent their region.
The ONMT also took the opportunity of this show to renew its strategic partnership with Emirates Airlines. Negotiations are also underway for the signing of new partnership contracts with regional operators, notably WEGO Middle East.
Furthermore, ATM 2024 will allow international and local participants to explore new trends, growth opportunities and innovation. This year’s theme is innovation and entrepreneurship.
