Aragua Train hitman who was trying to escape from Chile

The Public Prosecutor’s Office indicated that the individuals who were fugitives were Renzo Espinosa López, known as Chucky, and Juan José Farías Vásquez, known as Chencho.

The Valparaiso Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported the arrest of one of the Aragua Train hitmen who was on the run, after the operation that dismantled a cell of this organization in Viña del Mar.

The arrest was made by the Investigative Police (PDI), which detailed that the individual was identified when he was trying to escape from Chile through the north of the country.

The Public Ministry indicated that the individuals who were fugitives were Renzo Espinosa López, known as the Chuckyy Juan Jose Farias Vasquez, the Chenchothe latter being the one arrested by the PDI.

This follows Operation Tren del Mar, carried out on August 29 in the municipalities of Viña del Mar, Villa Alemana and Limache, which left 34 people arrested, 11 of them of foreign origin, part of a cell of the Tren de Aragua.

The deputy director of Police and Criminal Investigation of the PDI, Prefect General Hugo Haeger, declared that “this operation is a major blow to organized crime in the region. For several months, detectives, our specialized units and the Public Prosecutor’s Office worked quietly and professionally to identify and dismantle this criminal structure.”

“Fighting organized crime requires dedication and coordination between all institutions, and this operation is a clear example of that,” Haeger added.
