The main bottler of Coca Cola products in the region, Arca Continental, reported an operating flow (EBITDA) of 9,663 million pesos in the first quarter of the year, 1.2% more than the same period of the previous year.
Arca generated revenues of 50,743 million pesos in the first three months of the year, slightly exceeding the 50,684 million recorded in the same period of 2023, despite the marked appreciation of the Mexican peso against other currencies.
The firm reported that cost of sales decreased 1.8% as a result of lower prices in most raw materials, as well as favorable exchange rate hedges.
“We began the year 2024 with encouraging results in the first quarter, maintaining stability in sales and expanding EBITDA margins,” commented Arturo Gutiérrez, director of the company.
“During this year, we will continue to consolidate the long-term strategy of profitable growth, as well as the constant transformation of our operational capabilities according to the new market dynamics… shared for the communities that interact with us,” added Gutiérrez.
