jpnn.com – The 2024 Paris Olympics are just around the corner. Indonesia is taking part in the 33rd edition of the summer sports festival.

A total of 29 Red and White athletes will fight to be the best in 12 sports.

One of the names that flew to Paris to perfume the name of Indonesia is Syifa Nurafifah Kamal.

Syifa is an archery athlete from Bandung City. In the upcoming Paris Olympics, Syifa will appear on the women’s recurve team.

The woman born in Bandung, October 1, 1991, is known as an accomplished athlete since her teenage years. Syifa has won various tournaments, both local and national, including winning the PON gold medal in 2012 and 2016.

KONI Bandung Chairman Nuryadi said that Syifa succeeded in getting a ticket to the Paris Olympics after fighting through the qualifying round with the Indonesian Archery National Team.

“I got the news at that time, she (Syifa) called crying, she said she had qualified for the Olympics. I cried too, I was so proud that Bandung City’s athletes had qualified (for the Olympics),” said Nuryadi, Wednesday (24/7/2024).

Furthermore, Nuryadi revealed that Syifa is also one of the employees at KONI Bandung City. Currently, Syifa is in Paris to prepare herself before competing in the four-yearly sporting event.

Syifa Nurafifah Kamal, an archery athlete from Bandung City, will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics representing Indonesia.
