DECRYPTION – In a dozen departments, prefectural decrees already prohibit filling swimming pools. The multiplication of drought episodes raises questions about their future.
After the historic winter drought experienced by France and before a summer that promises to be still difficult in terms of water resources, should owners of private swimming pools be worried? The government’s “water plan”, presented Thursday by Emmanuel Macron, does not explicitly mention any measure dealing with these leisure pools. The generalization of apricing progressive of water could, on the other hand, concern them. “Beyond a certain level, the price of m3 will be higher“, specified the President of the Republic.
