The rapper’s provocations “overshadowed” his wife’s TV debut: how the couple behaved on stage
It was predictable that they would be talked about during this 73rd Sanremo Festival. But it was expected that the absolute protagonist would have been Chiara Ferragni, in her television debut as co-host of the Festival. And instead the husband managed to take the whole scene of the Sanremo week.
Chiara Ferragni was the queen of prime time: her manifesto-dresses (signed by Dior) and her monologue addressed to herself as a child did the talking: loved, criticized, certainly discussed. Her message was clear: women, feel free to be yourself, feel free in your body and leave the role imposed on you by society.
Then comes the second evening of the Festival. Now it’s up to Fedez to draw the lights on himself. And he succeeds very well: the rapper performs as a guest connected by the Costa Smeralda ship. His surprise freestyle causes a lot of controversy: he attacks the Minister for the Family, Eugenia Roccella, for her words on abortion; he makes fun of Codaconswith whom he has been in a legal battle for years, and shows a photo of the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Galeazzo Bignami (Brothers of Italy) disguised as an SS officer at a party, tearing it away 4. The Milanese rapper takes responsibility for him and exonerates Rai from any involvement, announcing live that no one knew anything about it.
But that’s not all. Here comes the evening of duets, the fourth. Fedez performs with his historic friend J-Ax in an Article 3 medley1. It is on the notes of “Ohi, Maria” (song in praise of marijuana) that the two shout in chorus, referring to the Prime Minister Meloni: “Giorgia, legalize it!”. The first comments arrive from Palazzo Chigi: “The Rai top management has gone too far”.
Here comes the fifth and final evening, that of the Finale. And Chiara Ferragni is back as co-host, together with her manifesto-dresses: this time the creations are by Schiaparelli.
But the scene is, once again, entirely by Fedez: during the performance of Rosa Chemical the two stage (or improvise, as they claimed, albeit denied by a video published before the Final) a sexual relationship on live TV and then kiss at the end of the performance.
After the show, another video captures husband and wife, behind the scenes. It is not clear what they said to each other, whether it was a spat or a joking discussion, but Fedez can be seen opening his arms in defense and Ferragni who, from his lips, would seem to say: “What have you done”?
After the Festival, the Ferragnez seem to have temporarily eclipsed. Crisis mood? Too much media noise about Fedez? The fact is that, while the influencer has posted some photos with his children to tell his return home, Fedez, on the other hand, seems to have disappeared from social media: no photos, no “story”. But by now his audience is used to this behavior of him: when the rapper combines one of his, for a while he doesn’t show up on social media. The last photo of him, in fact, was posted two days ago.
